Harley-Davidson FXR description

Selling a very nice Custom Shovelhead and is a bargain at this price! This is one of cheapest/cleanest shovels around and is a lot nicer than many of the ones I have seen for sale.  Bike runs/shifts great and has the rubber-mount engine for reduced vibration (comparable vibs to my 89 softail evo).  Has 1340 Shovelhead engine with 5 speed transmission both matching to the bike.  Upgraded S & S oil pump, S & S Super E carb and a lot of aftermarket chrome accessories.  Tires are like new but the front tire has a slow leak around the rim and it usually goes flat after about 2-3 days.  Everything works on this bike as it should and is ready to ride!  Unfortunately I am missing the left rear turn signal lens as I didn't have it snapped on all the way before going for a ride; I am currently searching for a replacement.  All of the lights are LED's except for the headlights.  The bike also has a Ultima Complete Electronic Wiring System part # 18-530.  Always ran royal purple oil.  Bike does have a very minor primary oil leak (2-3 drops on floor after coming back from ride).  Bike also comes with a variety of the original spare parts which are pictured.  This is a NO RESERVE auction and it is selling to the highest bidder.  This bike has a lot of money in it and will make someone a great motorcycle!

If anyone has any questions please leave me a message and I will respond ASAP.

Thank you!

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.
