Harley-Davidson FXR description

1983 Harley-Davidson Fxr GRAND TOURING EDITION, I am the original owner of this low mileage FXRT. It is in very good condition, needing only your color choice. It has after market headers, an oil cooler, and an S&S top end.. My late wife would not let me ride it or sell it?! It sat in the garage for over 20 years before I had it restored to its current condition. My new wife will not let me ride it, but she wants me to sell it! My loss it your gain. I just recently had some body work done on one saddlebag and the fairing. The pictures with the gray primer are the after pictures. I also just had the fork tubes replaced as the old ones were getting rust spots. It has a new battery and was recently tuned up. $7,950.00 4252540537

Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Wed, 02 May 2012

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

Bob Michel is a motorcycle industry veteran of almost 30 years, and like many career motorcycle folks, he has stories to tell. His credentials include 14 years with Harley-Davidson, culminating with his role as manager of dealer facilities planning. Naturally, when it was time to move on to other adventures, he chose to capitalize on his sales experience by becoming a partner and vice president of a Milwaukee dealership franchise.
