Very nice 47 G model servi-car,It starts usually on the first or 2nd kick and rides great. The front end is not stock and was done to have the dual disc brakes.The wooden box is also not stock.The original sheet metal boxes were bad about rusting out.It also comes with a cover and a real factory service manual.Tires are like new with very low miles.Engine has been rebuilt and is stock with the correct carb.It is 12 volt and has a siren and oogah horn.The light on the front fender is in working condition but not hooked up.It is registered & insured and I do ride it a few times a weeks. Harley-Davidson to Assemble More Models in India
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Harley-Davidson is expanding its assembly operations in India, increasing the number of models imported as complete knockdown kits to nine. Harley-Davidson will now assemble the Fat Boy, Fat Boy Special and Heritage Softail Classic in India, joining six models already being assembled in India. The move follows India’s new budget which increases import duties on motorcycles with engines larger than 800cc to 75% from the previous rate of 60%.
Harley-Davidson Opens New Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore
Thu, 19 May 2011Harley-Davidson has opened a new regional headquarters for the Asian market in Singapore. The new facility will house Harley-Davidson‘s sales, marketing and dealer development operations for its Asia Pacific region. The region office was previously located at Harley-Davidson’s global base in Milwaukee.
Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum
Wed, 17 Apr 2013While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
