Harley-Davidson Other description
1947 EL KNUCKLEHEAD ENGINE. Engine is clean and fully functional. Has original 47 numbered cases with matching belly numbers. Cylinders are .040 over in sleeved oem castings. No welds whatsoever anywhere but all surfaces have been smoothed or detailed at one point or another, ie. (non stock patina, casting flash removed, relay mount gone). There are 2 small fins on cylinders that were cosmetically repaired a long time ago. By that I mean not welded, brazed or otherwise. JB Weld and metal. Completely rebuilt top and bottom less than 900 miles ago by local Harley Factory wrench. All new crank shafts, bushings, and bearings, and was line bored and honed. Newer aftermarket oil pump. Set up for later type manifold. Starts easy and runs very well using the Joe Hunt magneto included. Always stored indoors

The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle
Fri, 25 Apr 2014An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.
