Harley-Davidson Other description

Hello and thank you for looking. Up for auction we have a very nice correct original 1965 Harley Davidson FLH Electraglide. First year for electric start on a big twin and the last year of the Panhead engine. This machine is very original other than a old repaint in 1965 in New Orleans Shriner colors.Included in the sale is the original owners fez from his shrine.

Non original parts are the battery cover, voltage regulator, and the rear brake master cylinder and hose. The tires are new Harley Davidson dunlops. Everything else is original and correct for 1965. The bike has never been apart other than for paint and a carb cleaning. Not a swap meet special, all parts are original to this bike as it left the factory in 1965. The bike was parked in 1976 when the original owner passed away. It sat in the same spot untouched until 2010.

19k original miles, the end of the speedo needle broke some time ago but the remaining piece still works and the odometer works also. Original gold nugget special paint is visable is spots under the green and yellow. The saddlebag guard rails are non Harley but they are a period aftermarket piece that have been on the bike since new. It has a clean unaltered factory vin stamping, it is a 5 didgit vin and the original seat has a may 1965 date stamp on it.Not the last but certainly one of the last Panheads built towards the end of the line. The bike runs grI eat and all lights/electrics work as they should. The originality and being a significant model and year mean this bike will only continue to climb and go up in value. I am very sadly selling only to persue a once in a lifetime opportunity or it would remain a permanent part of my collection.

Now for the fun stuff, I will sell worldwide but shipping set up and all costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I have bought sold and shipped plenty of bikes all around the country and am familiar with the process. I can refer the buyer to a shipping company I have used in the past but I will not handle the shipping for you. Payment to be made in full within 1 week 7 days of the auction close. $1000 dollar deposit required within 3 days unless another agreement is reached between me and the buyer. I can store the bike for up to 30 days inside my shop to allow the buyer time to arrange shipping. Payment methods are cash in person, cashiers check or bank to bank wire transfer. I will not release the bike or title until payment has cleared my bank and is 100% available to me. note this may take up to 7 business days for the bank to clear and release the funds.

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.

Who To Watch In The AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

The Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series is set to kick off this weekend at Daytona International Raceway, and the competition looks set to be as close as ever. In the contest’s three-year history, the combined margin of victory stands at just over two tenths of a second. And last year’s dogfight saw ninth position take the checkered flag less than eight tenths removed from the victory. Each previous contest has developed into a full-blown drafting war, with the class’ evenly matched machinery testing the tactical acumen of its pilots as they negotiate the high banks within inches of one another.
