1966 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead , 1966 Harley-Davidson FL 4 Speed Kick Start. Bike usually starts up on first couple kicks, engine runs perfect, and transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears. This entire bike was rebuilt approximately 2 years ago, and has about 600 miles on freshly rebuilt motor, and new transmission. Brand new AGM maintenance free Yuasa battery 2 month ago, brand new High Gloss - Vivid Black paint last month, using high quality PPG paint, and 3 coats of $750/gallon high end clear coat, frame has been powder coated. Engine professionally rebuilt featuring new Wiseco pistons & rings, all seals, retaining clips, connecting rod bearings, and cages are also new, ported heads, valves are done, all new Crane performance springs, push rods and covers are new, flywheels trued, and balanced. New oil pump, transmission is brand new quality aftermarket rachet top 4 speed, new kicker kit, new clutch plates, brand new Cycle Electric generator, and black finned voltage regulator, new S & S - Super E carb., new automatic advance distributor, brand new chrome wheels, and new Avon tires, new speedometer, new dual front disc brake calipers, rotors, new rear chrome disc brake caliper, and rotor, stainless steel braided oil lines, stainless steel braided and clear coated brake lines, new late model chrome handlebar controls with buttons, so that it could be wired for turn signals, and/or electric start, new chrome rear shocks, and as you can see from the pictures, most of everything else on the bike is either new, or in excellent condition, new chrome plated inner primary, and brand new black outer primary cover, with chrome inspection covers, new foot boards, all new foot pegs, and chrome mounts, handlebars, and grips, brand new clutch and trottle cables, new headlamp, taillight, spot lamps, wiring, horn, brand new chrome rear sprocket, and new top of the line Diamond's nickel plated o-ring chain. Brand new custom Larosa Design made high grade leather matching set of Black Alligator pattern solo seat, removable rear pillion, and tool bag. An older windshield, that is in good condition, and has another leather pouch attached to it, also comes with the bike, if you want it. John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.

Harley-Davidson and Best Western Expand Partnership

Harley-Davidson and Best Western have announced a three-year extension to their partnership which will now expand beyond North America. The two companies have been working together since 2006, providing benefits to customers of both brands. Under the new agreement, Best Western becomes the official lodging partner of Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations as well as the preferred lodging partner of Harley-Davidson’s rentals and tours division.

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
