Harley-Davidson Other description

1977 Harley Davidson Super Glide FXE - NO RESERVE!!

Offered here is a 1977 Harley Davidson Super Glide FXE with both kick and electric start.  I found this bike in a barn in Mississippi a couple of months ago, but with the two bikes and two classic cars I already have, I just don't have the time. The motorcycle appears mostly original ( tanks and dash appear aftermarket ), and the bike has no frame cutting or physical crash damage that I could note.  The engine needs a good cleaning, but the man I bought it from assured me that the bike could run with a new battery and a fresh oil change. As eBay asks for mileage and I cannot be positive of actual, I listed 12K. Based on minimal wear, I think that is reasonable. The odometer shows less.

The bike has not been on the road since 2004 ( MS lic plate registered that year ), but everything appears as stock. The engine has good compression, and no visible broken items that I could observe.  It has the stock Keihen carb on it, but I do have an S&S E with air breather I could add for an additional $200 if you want it. The chrome has the expected pitting after sitting up for so long, but it is serviceable. I am listing it for a starting price of less than I paid, so I do see value here. This motorcycle is being offered with no warranty, expressed or implied.

Please bid responsibly! An eBay bid is a contract to buy, so only bid if you actually have money. If you have to ask someone if can bid ( Mom, wife, etc ) you shouldn't bother. And NO, I will not take offers during the auction.  This is a NO RESERVE auction, so bid high ( and often )!! As a verifiable eBay patron for 15 plus years ( and 100% feedback ), you can trust me to assist you in any way that is reasonable. I will not crate, disassemble, or truck this motorcycle to you, but I will assist your shipper or assist you in loading it in your vehicle. Local viewing is possible if you wish in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, just call me at (504) 495-1397 to arrange a reasonable time. If you have additional questions, please call me during business hours ( CST ).

Payment must be with Cash, Cashier's Check, or Direct Deposit into my bank account. No other payment will be acceptable. No foreign sales, as I can't wrestle the bike to a shipping port for you.

A $500 deposit must be made via Pay Pal within 24 hours of the auction close, and the balance to be paid within seven (7) days of the auction close.

I remember my first bicycle. A blue frame with white handlebars and a long white banana seat for comfort. I was riding a Smurf.
