Harley-Davidson Other description

1977 Harley Davidson Shovelhead Chopper
****Titled as 1997 Special Construction in Iowa***
**************Has current Clear South Dakota Title***************
I suspect the bike was titled this way due the Aftermarket Frame (manufacture unknown).

The Cases and Transmission are OE Harley.

Actual mileage unknown.

I believe the oil tank to be aftermarket. It has been repaired on the bottom where it looks as if the chain rubbed through at one time. I think the front end is early Sportster that has stretched tubes. The rear wheel appears to be stock Harley. Open belt primary manufacture unknown. The Rear brake is Hurst/Airheart. The motor runs strong and has an S&S E carb. There is one of the small fins missing on the head. The battery is smaller than the compartment (see photo) but has never caused an issue. The paint is metallic red and gold. There are multiple chips in the paint mainly on the frame. You can see in the photos the paint is blemished by the fuel cap. The bike is a great rider, but by no means a 100 point show bike. Other than the flaws that I have pointed out the only other thing I can think of is that the clutch has a bit of a chatter when it first engages. Some of the gaskets/seals seep a bit and the transmission mainshaft will seep from time to time.

Please ask any and all questions Prior to bidding. Its a great bike and is described to the best of my knowledge.

The Roadery, A Different Kind Of Motorcycle Tour

Tue, 28 May 2013

Every motorcycle tour company promises to take you to beautiful destinations, but how many offer the same promise on custom motorcycles? The Roadery is that company. Having only been in business a few months, The Roadery, based in Los Angeles, is new to the motorcycle touring business, but it offers its customers the chance to explore some of the most scenic locations in the Western United States.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

Cubans Host First Harley-Davidson Rally

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Relations between the U.S. and Cuba have been strained for decades but that hasn’t stopped some Cubans from enjoying a piece of Americana. About 70 Cuban Harley-Davidson riders (or “Harlistas” as they call themselves) gathered in the resort town of Varadero for the country’s first-ever Harley-Davidson rally.
