AS FOR THE BIKE ITSELF, LETS START AT THE FRONT, IT HAS A HHI CUSTOM TRIPLE TREE WITH A five DEGREE RAKE, 4quot; OVER FORK TUBES, PROGRESSIVE SUSPENTION SPRINGS, 21quot; FRONT TIRE AND DISC BRAKE. CUSTOM HEAD LIGHT AND TURN SIGNALS TOO. THE GAS TANK IS A 4.5 GALLON STRECHED AND MOLDED UNIT WITH BLACK BASE COAT CLEAR COAT PAINT WITH FADED GREY TO SILVER FLAMES. THE REST OF THE PAINT IS HARLEY ORIGINAL GLOSS BLACK/CLEAR COAT. REAR SUSPENTION IS PROGRESSIVE SUSPENTION 10 1/2 CHROME SHOCKS FOR A VERY LOW SEAT HIGHT. WITH THE SUSPENTION UPGRADES FRONT AND BACK, THIS RIDES AND HANDLES MUCH BETTER THAN A TYPICLE SPORTY. WITH THE OVER LENGTH FORKS, RAKED TREE AND LOWER REAR SHOCKS, THE FRONT END NOW HAS AN AGRESSIVE 45 DEGREE RAKE. WHILE THIS IS CUSTOMIZED, ITS NOT WAY OVER THE TOP, IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE SOME TYPE OF FACTORY CUSTOM. THATS WHAT I WAS GOING FOR. IT RUNS REALY STRONG, LOOKS COOL AND TURNS ALOT OF HEADS. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
