Great color! - Rake out the front end, lower the rear suspension and whittle down the seat, and you get a beautiful long and low custom that delivers a look and feel like nothing else. So, it should come as no surprise the Low Rider model has been a favorite since day one and never looked back. Today’s version sports a pullback bar, mid-mount foot controls and a low-slung seat that’s just over 25" off the pavement. Experiencing long and low has never felt more right. You get highway pegs and a fat rear tire. This year, we couldn’t help but stretch the tank, giving the bike an even longer look. And we made EFI an option to the traditional carb Twin Cam 88 engine. Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010, according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
Harley-Davidson Confirms Project Livewire Will Appear In Avengers Movie
Fri, 25 Jul 2014From the “Unless-You’ve-Been-Living-Under-A-Rock” department comes Harley-Davidson’s announcement today at the San Diego Comic-Con, that H-D’s first electric motorcycle, the Livewire, will indeed be used in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie as the ride of choice for Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson, in an epic scene with Captain America in the film. Most Obvious Press Release Of 2013: Biker Chicks Sexier Than Pedestrians
Tue, 31 Dec 2013In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.
