The Road Glide Custom is a tough, low version of the shark-nose Harley-Davidson classic, with a big 18-inch front wheel, a 2-into-1 exhaust, and a smooth tail light assembly. This bagger rolls with swagger. The innovative Harley-Davidson Touring chassis is based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm developed to withstand the demands of long-haul touring riders and today's powerful engines.
The Road Glide model had long been known as the tourer s touring bike. It introduced the world to the unique shark nose, framemounted fairing. The Road Glide Custom takes that unique, wind-splitting design and gives it a slammed, custom appearance. Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit

The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“ exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.

The results were simply astounding. The Pope’s Harley sold for $328,527 to a private European buyer.
