HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL 1968 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLH SHOVELHEAD ENGINE WIDE GLIDE MOTORCYCLE. THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS ALL PROFESSIONALLY REDONE AND IT'S READY TO GO, IT HAS 2500 mileS ON IT. THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD THIS MOTORCYCLE SINCE NEW, HE HAD IT COMPLETELY REDONE WITH PLANS ON KEEPING THE MOTORCYCLE UNTIL THE DAY HE DIED. HE ENDED UP LOSING HIS JOB AND DECIDED TO LET THE MOTORCYCLE GO. THIS MOTORCYCLE NEEDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL, YOU COULD RIDE IT THIS WAY, OR YOU COULD INVEST A FEW BUCKS OR SELL OR TRADE SOMEBODY THE PARTS ON THE BIKE TO GET THE CORRECT FLH FRONT END AND FENDERS AND BRING IT RIGHT BACK TO 100% ORIGINAL, THE REST OF THE WORK IS ALL DONE FOR YOU. THE BIKE WAS REPAINTED ONCE BEFORE BACK IN LIKE 1972, THE OWNER FILLED IN THE NECK AREA WITH BONDO JUST TO GIVE A CLEAN SMOOTH LOOK, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE NECK AREA, IT WAS NEVER CUT OR RAKED OR WELDED OR ANYTHING, THE OWNER PROMISED ME THAT IT JUST HAS BONDO ON IT. Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
