This is the V-Rod that was new at over 25K. It has a Corbin seat, windshield, leather saddle bags, rider and passenger back rests, with less than 1700 actual 2 owner miles. It has been garaged its entire life and is like brand new. I have the original H-D seat (pictured) with battery charger. I just bought a Road Glide so this one unfortunately has to go. It is a great bike with no issues whatsoever. It has never been dropped and is a fast bike. If you know H-D V-rod's this water cooled engine just will not break and will go for many years. The Greatest Escape is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2014 and will begin with a beautiful ride from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, 4141 Lincoln Blvd., Marina Del Rey, CA along the Pacific Coast Highway with stunning views of the ocean to the rustic and historic Paramount Ranch, Cornell Road, Agoura Hills, CA. Join Perry King for what will be a wonderful day ending with a concert and BBQ lunch on the ranch. The Greatest Escape, 2014 will include a BBQ lunch by J Wolf BBQ and a concert by The Walking Phoenixes, a Johnny Cash tribute band. The Greatest Escape, 2014, will benefit victims of Mesothelioma and the Pacific Meso Center, in Los Angeles, CA.

The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
