Harley-Davidson Softail description

Only 2700 of these were made and the 1996 was the last year of the Nostalgia. This is an awesome and reliable machine. It has 35K touring miles on it and has been extremely well maintained. Always kept in a heated, carpeted garage. I bought this from the owner of a HD dealership that had customized it using nothing but top of the line parts. The Bartel pipes are one of a kind and tuned specifically for the EVO. This bike was Bike of the Month in Full Throttle magazine which I have copies for proof and it’s just a cool thing to have with the bike. I have the original bags, seat, windshield, mirrors, etc. The windshield has a few scratches but I’ve never used it. Tires and breaks are in great condition and I just changed the oil. I’ll throw in a full set of soft TBags and a HD cover. I have a ton of pictures and can send you an email with it running since you’ll LOVE the cam. I’m getting old and want someone to enjoy it and treat it with the same care that I have for many years. Local pickup only and no joy rides. Clear title and will be happy to answer any questions you have. Thanks for the consideration!

In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The first bit of advice is to “Sit on a lot of different bikes first,” says Angela Annamalai of Shelby’s Powersports in Bronx, New York.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship Adds Ice Moto Competition

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. That’s why we’re looking forward to the American Motorcyclist Association Ice Racing Grand Championships, Feb.
