The La Grange (Cook County) Illinois Police Department is offering the following motorcycle for sale by eBay auction:
2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic (1450 cc) with the low mileage of 15,107 miles The motorcycle is an employee-owned vehicle. It will be sold on eBay's auction-style setting. There is NO Buy-It-Now option. There is NO reserve on this vehicle. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder once the starting price has been satisfied. The owner will NOT accept any trade(s) for the vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO existing warranty; neither express nor implied. There are no returns on this vehicle. POSITIVES/ACCESSORIES: The motorcycle is VERY clean. It is black with upgraded chrome exhaust pipes. The motorcycle has Python mufflers, quick connect/disconnect windshield, spot lights, highway pegs, a newer battery, and good tires. The motorcycle is equipped with two soft saddlebags in good condition. The motorcycle has is equipped with a "sissy bar." On the rear of the "sissy bar" is another storage bag. The motorcycle is equipped with a gasoline gauge. Other than the upgraded exhaust, everything else on the motorcycle is "stock." The leather seating, the paint, and the chrome are all in excellent condition. The forks are able to be locked. Again, the motorcycle is 1450cc with a VERY low mileage of 15,107 miles. It has been garage-kept. NEGATIVES: The only negative with this motorcycle is a broken reflector on the right fork-easily replaced. The motorcycle is EXTREMELY clean!!! Elvis is so inextricably linked to Harleys that he's even become subject of an endlessly-circulating internet myth. You know, the one where a guy finds an old Harley for a few bucks, starts to restore it and discovers an 'Elvis' inscription under the seat.

Fri, 19 Dec 2008Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.
Japanese Bike Shop Giving Away Harley-Davidson with Life-Sized Anime Character
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Japanese shop Bike-O is holding a draw with a rather unique grand prize: a used 2008 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a life-sized figure of anime character Fujiko Mine from the long-running anime and manga series “Lupin III“. We’re not sure whether the motorcycle or the statue is supposed to be the bigger prize here, to be honest. Obviously, we’d rather have an actual road-worthy Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a custom “champagne pink” paint job.
