Harley-Davidson Softail description

Beautiful '08 Heritage Softail. Has sat for the last year so the seller has asked me to move it for them.

I personally own a 2005 Road Glide with the 88in motor, and let me tell you, I want this 96 inch!! The gear changes are perfect like they should be.
And this bike has the 6 speed as well. The tires are in great condition also. Only 6490 miles on this bike so It is like new! Also has
the stage one upgrade with SE slip-ons and air cleaner upgrade, and the grips are upgraded as well. Not sure what brand, but they appear to be
the Kuriakin gel filled touring ones.

The leather bags are not faded or dry at all. Still dark and soft to the touch, as is the winshield bag. Quik detach winshield is also a great feature.
The paint is shiny, the chrome is shining with no pits or fading. The front forks look great too. No bug gut stains!!

Email with any questions, I will do my best to answer them. Thanks for looking.

Not really interested in shipping, but if you have experience doing so, I will meet a transport company at your expense and responsibility.

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.

2010 Sportster Forty-Eight [video]

Mon, 25 Jan 2010

Watching the promo videos that Harley-Davidson puts out does get me pumped.  Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great!  Harley could use some positive feedback after they announced their Q4 results… Get the Flash Player to see this player. The 2010 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight retails for $10,499 for the black version, $10,789 for the silver or orange. Click here for more info.

Easy Rider 40th Anniversary

Tue, 27 Oct 2009

Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary.  The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
