Harley-Davidson Softail description

You are bidding on a 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy Lo custom motorcycle. Motorcycle has clean and clear Iowa title.  It is the buyers responsibility to arrange pickup or shipping when purchased.  Any questions please feel free to send a message and I will answer it as promptly as possible.

I purchased this bike after a minor MINOR garage fire, the bike had 9 miles on it when I brought it home. It sat in the corner until I saved the money to do the following.   Once again this bike has a clean and clear Iowa title.

The bike has a stock 96 inch motor with a stock 6 speed transmission.  All the engine covers are the original fatboy lo brushed satin finish.
The bike has been fully serviced with all synthetic fluids just recently.

Front triple trees have been powder coated gloss black and Streetglide fork tubes and lower legs have been added to lower the bike and converted to a dual disk front brake. New seal kit and fluids at same time. Front tire is new, with 50 miles on it. Has the new style Brembo Harley OEM brake calipers.  Front wheel is 2015 17inch Harley Touring machined to fit perfectly with the wide pattern matching brake rotors.  This bike stops on a dime. The front fender has been lifted 1 1/2 inches to clear the 17 inch wheel and tire combo.

The factory headlight was removed and the stock nacelle was transformed and hand shaped out of steel to give it the steet tracker style I as looking for.  a Cree LED flood light was added to light the road, this particular light does NOT have a high/low beam option.
The bars are 1 1/4 Hollywood track bars sitting on factory powder coated 1 1/4 risers all internally wired.  Arlen Ness grips and brushed shorty levers gives your hands a great feel.

The bike breathes through a screened billet velocity stack and RSD tracker exhaust from Vance and Hines. The local Harley Dealership mapped the computer to run this particular setup and it runs fantastic.

Factory rear shocks with an aftermarket lowering kit set to  the lowest setting gives it that aggressive stance.  180 mm rear tire and matching wheel.   The rear wheel features a kush drive pulley from the same 2015 touring model.  You wont find another fatboy with cushion drive.

The Metal work is OEM black and was sent away for custom airbrush work on fuel tank, nacelle and oil bag..  Their was 3 coats of clear put down before airbrush so artwork can be wet sanded out if someone wanted it just black.   their is a few light scratches, blemishes just from use and sitting. Nothing noticeable unless you are really looking.

Bike has a Danny Grey Seat and factory floorboards.

Dash and speedo are out of 2014 model Fatboy. I could never get it to fully link with the bikes computer. everything works as it should, tach, gear selector, fuel, trip a&b, but security light stays on, and odometer does not register. I HAVE NOT RESET THE TRIP METER SINCE BIKE WAS COMPLETED. So actual mileage of bike is what trip meter reads plus the 9 original miles. Bike has around 300 miles as of now, but will increase slightly as I continue to ride occasionally.

All work was completed at Convict Customz in Davenport Iowa. Check them out on Facebook and see the progress pics of the bike.

I have a lot of money tied up in this bike, but unfortunately a new home purchase is forcing the sale.

LOW RESERVE!!!!! All Description are true and factual to the best of my knowledge.

Harley Art

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes

Fri, 09 Mar 2012

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.
