Beautiful 2006 Heritage Softail FLSTCI for sale. Bike appears as shown in pictures. Some of the features include: Vance and Hines longshot pipes, crash bar, highway pegs, studded seats and saddle bags, detachable windshield, and luggage rack. However, since purchasing this motorcycle, I have added chrome clutch and brake levers, chrome switch housings, and a chrome Harley Davidson shifter linkage cover. This motorcycle has been garage kept and beautifully maintained. It has also never been laid down. Mileage is 13,740. Asking $11,500. Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler

Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $247.3 million over the second quarter of 2012, a 29.7% increase from a profit of $190.6 million from the same quarter in 2011. The Motor Company sold 85,714 motorcycles worldwide in the quarter ended June 30, 2012, a 2.7% year-on-year increase from 83,396 units in 2011. U.S.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
