1980 Harley Davidson Sportster XLS or Roadster model. This model came with cast aluminum wheels, drag handle bars and a smaller gas tank. Never restored or re-painted the bike has 23,000 original miles from only two owners.Drag pipes and a different air cleaner are the only things not stock equipment on this vintage ride. This bike starts up and when it does that old Ironhead really sounds off and rides good too, The brakes recently gone over, along with the fork tubes and the battery is not that old. This is a nice piece for the short tripper that wants a great sounding nostalgic Harley. Thanks for looking and will be happy to answer any questions. Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory. The Milwaukee company shipped 52,793 motorcycles in the three months ended Sept.

Well, you might not have done that, I know I haven't, but one man who did was Steve Hopkins who built this bike using 7 Harley-Davidson engines some which date back over 100 years. To prove it rides, Hopkins and nine passengers hopped on the bike on Saturday to start the 900 mile ride from Wisconsin to Sturgis.
