Harley-Davidson Sportster description

I'm Selling my 1989 Harley Davidson Sportster. This bike is my own personal ongoing custom build for more than 3 years and I'm now offering it up for sale. The bike is titled as an 883. and is in extremely excellent condition and extremely clean. It's a rigid stock frame with a Frisco Sporty Tank. I put a shortened 39mm front end with lowbrow cowbells, polished and shaved lowers with caliber tabs still entact. I eliminated the front brake, and just recently added 12 inch Biltwell apes. Rear fender is a chrome Honda CB fender. The rear tail light is a Harley tach l.e.d. . Rear tire is a Solid tubeless rear 15 inch wheel with new Shinko old school tire and a 21 inch newer Avon Speedmaster on the front. It has a Rich Phillips tooled solo seat. A custom made 50 cal. shift lever with hand shift rod for a downshift option. The O-ring, chain, oil tank, and drag pipes with custom heat shields were added. Also brass exhaust tips, CV carb rebuild with a custom brass air cleaner, brass mirror, and brass forward pegs were also put on. The bike also has Polished rocker covers, primary, and cam cover. I made the shifting and braking to be done with the heel. Their are alot of one off hand made parts that add to this bikes personality. I made this bike with a lot of attention to detail and very comfortable to ride!!! Its my everyday rider and I also take it to every bike-fest or event I can and is great on the highway. The bike gets a lot of looks and is an attention grabber everywhere I take it and I can go on forever talking about the custom parts and add-ons. 2014 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship On The Line At Pomona

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Granted, flat track racing isn’t our specialty at MO, but we’re no doubt fans of the action. See our coverage from the 2012 season finale for proof. The following is from an AMA Pro Racing press release: A total of 15 races over eight months couldn’t separate Jared Mees and Bryan Smith by much.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
