      This is NOT a misprint, this Harley Davidson XL 1200 Sportster is a perfectly preserved bike stored in controlled climate all of it's life, drained properly of fluids and in 100% original and immaculate condition.  It was carefully and professionally removed from the living room of a house, hauled to our facility and completely inspected, prepped and started up properly by a certified Harley master mechanic (Roger, see bill).  This is a brand spanking new bike with original manual, keys, dealer plate, kickstand rest and a cover to keep it dust free.  It's the ideal bike for the finicky collector who wants only the best of the best or a rider who wants to buy a new Harley for 1/2 the price.  Come, take a look and have it inspected yourself... you'll literally be flabbergasted when you see it in person.  It's flawless!  Also check my perfect feedback profile, including the 2,400 all positive comments under my smileylink eBay ID and bid with ultra confidence.  If I've garnered your attention, please read on regarding the story about how I acquired this bike.

    A gentleman bought 2 of these 1996 XL 1200's, one for himself and one for his son.  He kept his son's brand new bike in the living room (yes, living room where it sat all it's life) and told him he could have it once earned his license and was ready to ride.  Following a hostile divorce, the gentleman's family unraveled and he, eventually, disowned his son.  Upon his death, the gentleman bequeathed his home and its entire contents to "Nancy," his next door neighbor.  Nancy called my friends, Jay and Sal, from Retro Image Antiques to prepare an estate sale, but Sal called me about the Harley to see if I was interested in buying it.  He arranged a meeting with myself and Nancy and when I saw the bike for the first time, my poker face turned to a cartoon face (replete with bulging eyes) and my insouciant demeanor turned into "OH WOW!"  Alas, there was no way to start the XL 1200, but I decided to take a chance due to the fact that the tanks were perfectly clean, all the rubber was supple and the mileage was ineffable!  When the Harley saw light for the 1st time in 20 years, I knew I made the right decision and I couldn't wait for Roger to get his hands on it.  At the shop, Roger took his time to fully inspect it and get it prepped properly for startup.  I got to listen to Sportster start and all I could do was smile with a sense of relief that it was brought to life with no issues whatsoever.  

     So, what you'll be bidding on is a brand new 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200.  If you want to confirm the story with her, feel free to let me know and I'll ask her if it's okay for you to call her.  I'm sure she wouldn't mind, as she asked if I could stay in touch regarding the sale.  Not only will there be no disappointments in this purchase, I'm 100% certain that you'll be the happiest Harley collector or rider on the road.  

Please keep in mind that this is a no reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the my Harley Davidson Sportster.  If you make a bid, I'll assume that you've asked the significant other and have funds available.  Also, ask any and all questions before making a bid, as I want to make sure you know everything you need to before making your decision.  Feel free to have the bike inspected or come by to take a look.  I will only offer test rides to those who are seriously interested and have cash in hand (that decision will be ultimately be up to me, as I want to keep the mileage under 100 miles).  I do reserve the right to end the auction early, as the XL 1200 is also going to be up for sale locally and I will consider offers beyond my starting bid.  The buyer will be responsible for having the bike shipped, but I'll be happy to pick you up at Detroit Metropolitan Airport if you want to fly in and haul her home.  A nonrefundable $500 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form of cleared certified check, Paypal or cash in person by 3 days with no exceptions.  Thank you!

New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.

Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.

Harley-Davidson Invites Fan On Red Carpet At Captain America Premiere

Harley-Davidson and Marvel surprised fans at the premiere of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Hollywood, by inviting them onto the red carpet after it closed. Fans at the event were spontaneously selected to walk and experience the official red carpet and to check out a brand new Street 750 motorcycle along with the stars of the film, who autographed the bike for charity. The Winter Soldier star Chris Evans signs a new Harley-Davidson Street 750 at the premiere in Hollywood, CA.  Following the premiere, Harley-Davidson will donate the bike to Concord Youth Theatre. In its continued partnership with Marvel Comics, Harley-Davidson had six motorcycles at the premiere along the red carpet, where fans took pictures and interacted with actor and musician, Tyler Posey, the official Harley-Davidson commentator and host.
