Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2007 Custom Sportster. Bad ass bike!! This bike sounds mean and has power. Previous owner bored to 1500cc. I've owned it about 2 1/2 years and have never had any problems. Runs great! Tires are only about a year old. I've installed the Burly Brand lowering kit and 10" mini apes. I do still have the original shocks and springs. Few cosmetic flaws...some scratches on tank and fenders, missing a mirror and a turning signal lens cover. Has an alarm system installed. It's always been garage kept and had regular oil changes, I haven't put alot of wear and tear on this bike. Since I've had it, it's mostly only been used for occasional rides around town. Other than that, this bike is a beast and very solid!! Only selling to pay divorce attorney fees, otherwise I never would have considered selling this bike. Feel free to contact me for more pics and info!

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
