Harley-Davidson Sportster description

Up for sale is a mint condition 2008 Harley Davidson Nightster 1200cc. It is finished in Olive Pearl Denim. This bike has seen only 14,400 gentle miles on it from new and has been maintained by the book for all of its time on the road. It has been adult owned and cared for. Every surface of this bike is in showroom condition. In addition to the impeccable maintenance schedule, the outside has been kept spotless by its meticulous owner. This bike sports newer Michelin Harley Davidson tires, and has current registration good through April of 2017.
This Harley is a blast to ride. It starts and runs as new. All electrical systems work as designed.  Its 1200cc power plant hurls you down the road with no hesitation. These blacked-out Nightster models are a down and dirty bike. They a are no frills, but tons of thrills bike.  Not shown in the pictures, there is a pillion seat that will be sold with the bike.
This motorcycle will be sold for a Fixed Price, or Best Offer. The reserve is fair and priced in line for the condition.
I always encourage a pre-purchase inspection, and that can be arranged with advance notice. Don't hesitate to contact me for that, or any other questions you may have regarding this sale. Please look at the pictures carefully. They represent, in my opinion, the bike as you will receive it. I think, though, that it shows much better in person than in the photographs.
A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 will be required immediately after the auction ends, via PayPal. The balance can be paid in cash, wire transfer, or cashier's check. The bike will not leave until funds have been verified.
I am happy to store the bike for an agreed upon amount of time AFTER it has been paid IN FULL. I will be glad to help with the shipping process, but arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
