I am selling my 2011 Harley Davidson Forty-Eight. I am a private seller, clean/clear title in hand. The bike currently has 5,222 miles on the odometer (mileage may go up slightly as I ride the bike on nice days).
This bike has NEVER been dropped or laid down while in my possession. It has been well kept, and parked in a heated garage. Modifications: -Dynojet Power Vision, Black Series (Stage 1 tune for exhaust/AC) -Vance & Hines Shortshots (secured with aircraft/racing nuts and new Screamin' Eagle exhaust port gaskets) -Vance & Hines Quiet Baffles (stock VH baffles included as well) -Black Bobber Hi-Flow Air Cleaner -2014 HD Forty-Eight Gas Tank, Morocco Gold Pearl -1.5" Tank Lift and Wire Tuck -Ignition and Coil Relocation (new plugs and plug wires) -RAM Motorcycle Mount (for tuner, only the ball remains on handlebar clamp, tuner easily removable) -Carroll Leather Fork Pouch -HD Smoked Front Turn Signal Covers (signals relocated to lower tree) -HD Iron Timer Cover -Wrinkle Black Derby Cover -Wrinkle Black Inspection Cover Some more details on mods in the notes at the bottom. New 2012 Harley-Davidson Models Named in CARB Documents
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal two new models from Harley-Davidson’s 2012 lineup: a 10th anniversary edition V-Rod and a new member of the Dyna family. The CARB documents list motorcycles that have received approval for the state of California. The Motor Company has received approval for several 2012 models including the 2012 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special Anniversary and the 2012 Harley-Davidson Switchback.
Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Harley-Davidson has not yet had large engines in terms of capacity and power. This behemoth, which looks like a work of modern technoart, is called the Screamin' Eagle Milwaukee-Eight 131.
