All these elements give the Sportster 1200 Custom an exciting new look that should be eye candy to a lot of riders. The headlamp offers a reshaped classic Sportster "eyebrow" look while the tail light comes with a new shape that features a bright, low maintenance LED element. The pull back handlebar, a critical piece of Harley's design engineering, is mounted on a curved riser that likewise incorporates an LED warning light display. In terms of powertrain, the Sportster 1200 Custom is far from a pushover, thanks to a mighty and rubber mounted 1200cc Evolution V-Twin powetrain with electronic sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and mated to a five-speed transmission. This is an actual 1500 mile 2012 1200 Custom Sportster shown in the classiest Marlot Color. The news caps off an important quarter for Harley-Davidson that included the company’s 110th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its 2014 lineup including the new Twin-Cooled engines and Project Rushmore enhancements.
