1996 Sportster Hugger 883 approximately 8700 miles with peanut tank and aftermarket petcock. Very clean bike.
Forward controls. close to 50 mpg Very comfortable riding position
New Progressive springs installed in January. Have the old ones if you care to have them.
Smoked front turn signals
Stock pipes and carb, Original rivets in ignition cover.
runs drives great. I have put approx 3k miles since purchase.
Battery tender leads installed.
Tires about 50%
Always garaged at home and covered at work.
Brakes flushed in February.
Crankcase and primary Oil changes @1000k with K&N oil filter
no leaks
I had the tank sanded to remove the decals and professionally repainted with original Harley factory paint
The rear fender on the bike now is cracked... but have an OEM fender
professionally painted with original Harley factory paint. I have not
installed the fender as I occasionally strap a jacket to the fender and
didn't want to scratch the new paint. I also have a fender brace
they used in later years to prevent the cracking of the fenders (steel)
Originally bought to use the motor in a hard tail frame but didn't have the heart to break this bike apart.
Selling as I have three other bikes and want to purchase a motor and finish the rolling hardtail frame I have.
Has current registration and inspection. I pay 48$ a year for liability insurance through Progressive

Harley-Davidson Invites Fan On Red Carpet At Captain America Premiere
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Harley-Davidson and Marvel surprised fans at the premiere of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Hollywood, by inviting them onto the red carpet after it closed. Fans at the event were spontaneously selected to walk and experience the official red carpet and to check out a brand new Street 750 motorcycle along with the stars of the film, who autographed the bike for charity. The Winter Soldier star Chris Evans signs a new Harley-Davidson Street 750 at the premiere in Hollywood, CA. Following the premiere, Harley-Davidson will donate the bike to Concord Youth Theatre. In its continued partnership with Marvel Comics, Harley-Davidson had six motorcycles at the premiere along the red carpet, where fans took pictures and interacted with actor and musician, Tyler Posey, the official Harley-Davidson commentator and host.
Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico
Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.
New 2012 Harley-Davidson Models Named in CARB Documents
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Documents released by the California Air Resources Board reveal two new models from Harley-Davidson’s 2012 lineup: a 10th anniversary edition V-Rod and a new member of the Dyna family. The CARB documents list motorcycles that have received approval for the state of California. The Motor Company has received approval for several 2012 models including the 2012 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special Anniversary and the 2012 Harley-Davidson Switchback.
