This is a NO RESERVE auction This is a nice example of a good condition custom build 1340 shovelhead including the original pre 70's frame w/ pogo style solo seat and custom paint and body work lots of custom and aftermarket parts(as listed below) Original pre 70's frame w/ 1979 80" shovelhead motor. Motor is kick and electric start. NEW/ AFTERMARKET PARTS
Very nice example of a classic/ custom flh setup. Isn't perfect, but close. does have a couple of paint chips- on the rear/ front fenders(see pics). engine/ trim detailing has some scratches and chips in finish from age. Starter solenoid is weak and recommend replaced(temperamental and works when it wants).I typically kick start it(3-4 kicks) Brakes are in excellent condition.Tires are in good condition w/ 50% tread left. Engine doesnt smoke and has good compression w/ no oil blow bye on the rings Bike has a clean/ clear Numbers matching Michigan title Buyer responsible for all shipping costs.Bike is located in Durand,MI zip 48429.Local pickup offered. Fri, 09 Mar 2012The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
