Harley-Davidson Touring description

Nice, older restored FLH that runs and drives great. Very nice paint with no scratches (all emblems airbrushed) and good chrome but crash bar has scratches on both sides. Chrome is original and in VG condition. Alloy wheels in great shape. VG tires and new battery. Good brakes. Motor has .010 over pistons, has a mild cam, and valves were done 20k ago. Smooth running with Mikuni carb. New speedometer was installed at time of restoration. (total mileage on chassis unknown) Original 4 Spd. trans. Has Barnett clutch pack w/HD clutch springs. Has a Mustang two person seat. No backrest. Front and rear running boards Small issues: Needs new push cable for throttle (dual cable system) and starter solenoid can stick once in a while. Throttle works fine as is and bike can be ridden now without problems. Goes down the road excellent. Super nice older bike.z Spare parts include: original tanks, original seat, luggage rack, original exhaust, extra clutch pack and misc parts. Bike currently has original aluminum headlight bucket. BNIB chrome headlight bucket available at addition cost. For a more detailed description and exact details of the bike, call John @ 508-728-1350. If you want to bid, you are expected to call and ask all questions you need to be assured of what you're purchasing.

On Jun-29-16 at 09:38:49 PDT, seller added the following information:

Note: I have found my original paperwork and have the following information. I have owned the bike for the last 17yrs. I purchased the bike with 21,267 miles and rebuilt it. The new speedometer was added at the time of rebuild and shows 21,xxx, so the bike has a total of just over 42, 000 miles. I also have the original carb and air cleaner assembly that goes along with it.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.

2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.
