IT HAS A DETACHABLE HOPPE IND FAIRING, DETACHABLE CHOPPED TOUR PACK, AND MATCHING FAIRING LOWERS. THE ENGINE IS A 113 CI (1856 CC), HORSEPOWER INC THROTTLE BODY, SCREAMIN EAGLE AIR CLEANER, LARGER FLOW INJECTORS, RUSH WRATH 2 INTO 1 EXHAUST. THE 113 CI ENGINE HAS ABOUT 15K MILES ON IT. THE TRANSMISSION IS A STOCK 5 SPEED WITH A 27 TOOTH COMPENSATOR PRIMARY SPROCKET FOR LOWER RPMS. FRONT FORKS HAVE PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION MONOTUBES. Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Team Unveils Restyled V-Rod Drag Bikes

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.
