2014 Biker Belles Symposium At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

On Tuesday, August 5th, at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, the sixth annual Biker Belles symposium presented by Harley-Davidson kicks off at The Lodge at Deadwood. Proceedings get underway with filmmaker, Michelle Carpenter, showing a clip from her new documentary about women riders, “Driven to Ride.” When Carpenter finishes, a panel of leading industry women will address attending participants, including motivational speaker and safety expert, Cat Hammes; Team Diva owner, Diva Amy Skaling; ROAR Motorcycles founder, Kathy Tolleson; National Online Director of Marketing & PR for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, Audrey Nesbitt; drag racer, Andie Gaskins; and more. Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2013 Sales Results

Harley-Davidson reported a 15.5% increase in motorcycle sales for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2013 compared to the same quarter last year. The news caps off an important quarter for Harley-Davidson that included the company’s 110th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its 2014 lineup including the new Twin-Cooled engines and Project Rushmore enhancements.
