Harley-Davidson Touring description

Up for sale is a 2006 Harley Davidson Road King Custom converted to look like a Street Glide bagger.  Has aftermarket batwing with built in stereo system, stretched hard saddlebags with locks, rear fender extender, and aftermarked top case all color matched to bike.  Batwing and bags maybe removed easily for convertible look.  Lots of chrome.  Normal wear and tear for a bike with almost 48,000 miles.  Some chrome pieces will need extra buffing and/or replaced but does not take away from functionality and not noticeable unless pointed out (i.e. picture of small front signal housing).  This is sold as is and no return/refund.  It has been regularly serviced and last service was at around 45,000 miles.  Mileage may vary as I am still riding the bike.  Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding.  This is for pick up only unless buyer arranges to have it ship.  Thank you for looking.

  • Kuryakyn color-matched batwing with stereo and hook up for ipod/iphone
  • Stretched color-matched hardbags with locks
  • Color-matched rear fender extender
  • Color-matched aftermarket top case/trunk
  • White wall tires are in good shape
  • Chrome forks
  • Chrome switches and housing
  • Wide beach bars

2015 Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Revealed

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

It’s no surprise, as we’ve already seen the spy photos and California Air Resources Board documents, but Harley-Davidson has officially introduced its new Freewheeler trike, adding a second three-wheeled model to go with the Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Whereas the Tri Glide is designed for touring needs, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser with 12-inch mini-ape-hanger handlebars and bobtail fenders. Up front is a seven-piece nacelle with a dual halogen lamp mounted tight to the 49mm telescopic fork and frame.

India Raises Import Duty on Motorcycles to 75%

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

The government of India has laid out its budget for 2013-2014, increasing the import duty for large motorcycles. The news will impact several major manufacturers hoping to gain a stake in the world’s second largest motorcycle market. India has become the hotspot for manufacturers but one of the biggest obstacles they face is the duty India levies on luxury goods.

Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Fri, 31 Jul 2009

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
