The 2009's have the all new frame with wider rear tire, new Isolated Drive System for smoother feel, 6 gallon fuel tank, smooth center console, larger 11.8" rotors, Brembo 4-piston brake calipers, & Electronic Throttle Control. This was the first year for the new frame Road Glide and was later renamed the FLTRX or Custom. Extras include factory security system, cruise control, Rush high performance straight cut mufflers, Screamin' Eagle chrome Stage 1 high flow air cleaner kit, Power Commander PC5 tuner, highway pegs with heel rests, docking hardware for detachable sissy bar or tourpak (not included), progressive suspension upgraded shocks, shorty antenna, & tons of factory chrome. Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
Mustang Announces Metal Flake Seat Colors and Display for Sturgis
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Just in time for Sturgis, Mustang Seats has release new color options for its custom seats. Designed to match the retro colors on Harley-Davidson’s Hard Candy Custom collection, the vinyl seats have metal flake in six available colors available on Mustang’s Tripper Solo, Tripper Fastback and DayTripper seats. According to Mustang, after the starting its custom seat program last fall, so many customers requested a metal flake option that they had to provide it.
