Harley-Davidson Touring description

If you're an Evel Knievel fan, this highly collectible piece of motorcycle history is for you. My wife and I have decided to travel and will not have a place to store our toys . Back in 2012, we attended the 11th Annual Evel Knievel Days in Butte Montana and absolutely fell in love with this specially prepared Road Glide that Harley Davidson had so generously donated to help keep Evel Knievel Days event free to all. We purchased tickets and set our minds on winning. However, we did not win. We did track down the man who did and after a generous offer, he agreed to sell the bike to us with 70 miles on the clock and we rode it home to Eastern Washington from Butte. We have returned annually to EK Days on the bike and rode it in the annual tribute parade/ride. All of the miles on the bike are trip/highway miles and it still is wearing it's original tires. The seat has been upgraded to a heated Mustang seat and a quick detach tourpack is included as well. All maintenance was done at half intervals {twice as often as needed} with the best synthetic oils money can buy. I can help prepare for shipping but the buyer will be responsible for procuring a shipping agent.

Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
