Original 1965 FLH, clean serial numbers and matching belly numbers. The vin is 65FLH13474. Bike has original paint, white is prominent, black on bottom of tank. This bike has all the goodies that a 65 Electra Glide is supposed to have. Both electric and kick start. The original paint has many scratches. Small dimple on the front fender and one on the gas tank. The gas tanks are like new on the inside. At 20 feet, you cannot see the scratches. The bike has 12,000 original miles, and runs and handles like new. Just put on new pair of Coker Tires. I am looking at my 76th birthday and it is time to part with these heavy machines. 2006 Harley Davidson FLTRI Road Glide restored to almost new condition by Vicious Cycles Motorcycle Co. (VCM) of Quakertown, PA. Please google them to see more pictures of this great bike. VCM specializes in customizing Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The bike was purchased through an auction in Nevada. The bike has spent most of its life in the west where there is hardly any rain, sleet or snow. The auction listed the bike with the Actual Cash Value (ACV) price of $29,550 - a startling number. The listing stated that the bike runs and drives. The pictures showed one saddlebag missing and a slight damage on the front fairing (I can provide these pictures if requested). Otherwise the bike looked to be in good shape. I called the auction folks in Nevada to learn more about the condition of the bike. They reiterated what was already listed. Additionally, they stated that the bike runs strong and seem to have expensive options. I concluded that likely the cost to repair and check expensive options was higher then the ACV of the bike; therefore, it was auctioned with the listing of the ACV. After I received the bike, I retained VCM to restore the bike to its original condition. They installed OEM parts where needed and serviced it to match up with the manufacturer specifications. Great bike, completely redone primary and transmission bearing / seal / and gasket wise. Inner primary had a leak and everything was coming off so did everything all at once. Upgraded to larger front pulley and installed new belt. Bike needs tires, for the buy it now price a new set of white walls will be mounted / balanced / and installed on bike. 75,900 original miles, aftermarket high flow slip ons, high flow intake and filter, carb jetted for intake and pipes. Intake seals were done last season as well, New battery was also installed last season. Aftermarket stereo/cd player installed, Sirius/xm compatible. 4 new speakers installed last season. I'm sure there's more i'm forgetting, i'm not going to list all the little chrome upgrades. 1999 Harley-Davidson Road King Near Mint Condition, Good Mechanical Shape I was riding to Sturgis, SD, (for bike week), from Pittsburgh, PA when my bike broke down in Rock Island, Illinois. Harley of Davenport pick me up and offered me this just traded in bike, put new tires and a clutch cable on it, and delivered it to my hotel. It had 18,111 miles on it. I rode to Sturgis and back, (2,400 miles), without any problems. It looks great, and rides perfect, but I have toooo many other bikes, so this one has to go! Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle
Fri, 25 Apr 2014An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.
