Honda CB description

Rare 1966 CB160 Racer with CB92 & CB93 Race Parts.

This is a very interesting 1966 Honda CB160 with ultra rare Honda CB93 race kit parts. Basically this is a stock CB160 with the following original vintage Racing, Benly & other parts added:

Honda CR93 Alloy Racing Fuel Tank - including hold down strap & fuel cap

CR93 Alloy Race Seat

CR93 Engine Case Breather Tower

CR93 Intake Manifolds

Honda Racing DID Alloy Rims

Custom Header Pipes with 2 into 1 Connection into CR92 Megaphone

CB92 Benley Front Brake

Fiberglass full fairing (unsure of origin ) with removeable fairing braces which mount to tabs welded to the frame & existing bolts on middle of frame.

Dual CL77 22MM Carburetors

Rearsets fabricated from CB160 & CB77 parts

Modified CB77 side stand.

There is no speedometer fitted to the bike so mileage is unknown. No title. Selling as a classic race bike or parts.

This bike's original home was California. It then lived in Nebraska. Last August carburetor's were cleaned and the points set by the one and only RL Brooks out at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Show in Jefferson PA.  RL was one of front runners in the Heritage Racing lineup which drew Honda back to classic racing. He is in one of these photo's with his back towards us. We found a new battery for a CB350, tied it in and after a push threw the flea market it lit off sounding mighty impressive to say the least. It does shift threw threw all the gears fine. The CB92 front brake set up is a strong asset when riding these bikes and it works very well,  Upholstery on the seat is still obviously the original Honda type, featuring the rubberized upholstery like the top portion of the CYB.  If you can see in one of the photo's you can make out the area where the badge once was on the tank before it was made race ready. There is a sealant that was used on the interior of the tank. Looks to be professionaly done.

Sold as is. No title.  I had this listed under a different catagory, antique, parts asian which Ebay asked me to change to this catagory since its over 50cc. Since there is no title and the listing makes you check one box for a title, I am giving this info to you so you can understand and ask questions.. I have checked the rebuilt, rebuildable and reconstructed in order to continue with the auction.

Note: Not road worthy. Built to be riden on a closed course. Before riding its advised to have a professional inspect all safety aspects.

Cycle Guide had this to say about the CR93's and the CB160's in the July 1967 article, One Look at the CB93 chassis and you can see how the CB160 is claimed to be one of the best handling bikes in the world today - regardless of price. The CR93 frame and that of the CB160 are almost identical. Forks swingarm and rear shocks. This is pretty high praise for the stock CB160.

*This is a very collectable bike at a sensible reserve.*              *This bike won the "Gary Nixon" award trophy donated by the Nixon family for this show. I can't say enough to thank them.*

FYI, This listing was on earier in the antique asian catagory and Ebay asked I change it to the Ebay motor's catagory. Sorry to confuse anyone.

Start the ultimate project bike

Wed, 17 Nov 2010

The base for the ultimate project bike have appeared online, a Honda RC211V. The adverts consist of the supposedly the frame from Valentino Rossi's championship dominating machine from 2003 on eBay and a frame that comes complete with the sexy V5 engine. The eBay listing is currently at $510 and is literally an incomplete frame with the ad stating that it is the 'unfinished basis of replacement RC211V frame, all made in aluminium with CNC machined parts & high quality welding', the bidding is still under the reserve set by the user.

2015 Honda CB300F Heading To Canada in White with ABS

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

When American Honda officially announced the new 2015 CB300F this morning, it didn’t take long to realize the naked version of the CBR300R would not be offered with anti-lock brakes. The lack of ABS, even as an option, was one of the things that differentiated it from the CBR300R which offered it at a $500 premium. That’s not the case north of the border however, as Honda Canada confirmed it will offer the CB300F with ABS as standard equipment.
