I've had dozens of vintage bikes over the years, but this is probably one of the nicest, most original I've ever seen. This CB was properly stored by the original owner with engine fogging and the proper tank/carb storage preparation before his death. I replaced the engine oil, filled with fresh gas, and put in new NGKs, and the Honda started right up with no leaks. It has a very small dent in the tank, and the usual rust and paint fade for a 45 year old bike, but not bad at all considering, and EVERYTHING works. Even the high beam indicator in the headlight shell. The front brake master is off the bike getting rebuilt, but otherwise ready to go. Overseas bidders welcome. Please email any questions

Wed, 04 Apr 2012How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.

Plus there will be opportunities for fans to attend interviews with Repsol Honda riders Dani Pedrosa, Marc Márquez and LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl. Interviews with Pedrosa and Márquez will take place on Saturday from 4:30 to 4:45 pm on the Moto Midway Main stage, while Bradl and Livio Suppo, Repsol Honda Team Principal, will be interviewed at the Honda display tent (time to be determined).
