Honda CB description

Up for Sale is a 1972 Honda CB450 motorcycle. Clear title. All original. Only 3,431 Miles. Frame # CB450-5015780. Motor # CB450E-5015811.The Motorcycle was sitting since 2006. The Carburetors where cleaned. New spark Plugs. Fuel line. Battery, Gas tank Flushed. The motorcycle starts right up and runs strong. No Smoke or leaks. Front and rear brakes work as they should. Shifts through all the gears. All of the electronics do work. Only issue I've noticed is the electric start sometimes does not work, but starts up fine with the kick start. As Far as the condition goes it is very nice for its age but overall the chrome shows pitting, worst spot is the rear fender. Gas tank has a small ding on the right side( see picture). The paint is very nice, some small chips on the tank, one side cover has some rust spots in the paint. Overall a very nice example of a running and driving CB450. You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. Also if you are looking for a certain pre 1985 motorcycle, just let me know or go on my website... www.1stkickcycles.com .The bike is Sold as is. Email with Any questions. Please the payment must be made within 5 days of close of auction. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Good luck Bidding.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Salt Lake City Results

Ryan Dungey returned to the top of the podium for the first time since late February with a victory at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. With the injured Ryan Villopoto already crowned the 2012 AMA Supercross Champion, the win put Dungey back in contention for second overall. The Red Bull KTM last tasted victory Feb.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.
