I'm selling my rare 1976 Honda CB750A Hondamatic. It is mechanically sound and runs well. I bought it last year from a friend who no longer rides. The odometer says 29,900 miles but it was not working when I bought it so I have no idea of the original miles. The speedometer works fine now. The carbs have been cleaned recently, has new tires and tubes, new AGM battery, rebuilt master cylinder, new air cleaner, new mirrors, fresh oil and filter. It has been a daily rider since spring arrived..
Everything left to do on the bike is cosmetic like cleaning, removing surface corrosion on the forks and cleaning several years of dirt in hard to get places. The paint is all there but shows it's age. The seat pan and cushion is good but the left front side has a tear, repaired with tape that looks ok for me. A replacement cover is advertised on eBay for $79. The bike starts and runs fine and is a blast to ride. Just put it in low or drive and go. Everything on the bike works, signals, horn, fuel gauge, etc.The things that are frequently missing are there like the hard to find side covers and original air box. I'm only selling it because I have two other bikes and am out of room. I'll try to add more pictures later or upon request. The bag attached to the rear is NOT included (it belongs to my son). Bonhams To Sell Garelli Grand Prix Collection At No Reserve
Wed, 28 Nov 2012Mark your calendars for February 5 and 6, 2013, as those are the dates when Bonhams — one of the world’s largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques — will put for sale two motorcycle collections which include some incredibly rare and historic machines. The Grand Palais in Paris, France will play host to the auction, which includes the entire Garelli Grand Prix collection as its headliner. Founded in 1919, many famous Italian racers got their starts on Garelli motorcycles.

The adverts consist of the supposedly the frame from Valentino Rossi's championship dominating machine from 2003 on eBay and a frame that comes complete with the sexy V5 engine. The eBay listing is currently at $510 and is literally an incomplete frame with the ad stating that it is the 'unfinished basis of replacement RC211V frame, all made in aluminium with CNC machined parts & high quality welding', the bidding is still under the reserve set by the user.
Day 6 Dakar 2014: Duclos Wins Stage, Palante Found Dead
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Sherco rider Alain Duclos took today’s stage, eight years after his first win in Bamako. With three top five finishes this year Duclos has proven his own increased competitiveness as well as that of the Sherco 450 Rally bike he’s aboard. In more tragic news, the body of Belgian rider, Eric Palante was found Friday morning on a part of the fifth stage route that riders completed on Thursday.
