Honda CB description

This bike was ridden lightly for ten years and then parked in the corner of a barn for the next 27 or so years.  After the original owner passed, the bike was purchased by the second owner at an estate sale.  It was non running at that time.  He kept it for about a year with the intention of fixing it up, but realized that it would be more work than he thought.  I bought it from him about 2 years ago and cleaned it up and got it running and riding again.  Rebuilt master cylinder, front caliper, carbs.  Unstuck motor by spraying lube in plug holes.  Could use new rings I'm sure, but still runs good.  Pulled and soaked clutch plates.  Replaced coils, caps, wires, plugs and battery.  New oil and filter.  New petcock filter.  Has original 4 into 4 exhaust.  No holes, some rust.  No rips in seat.  Original tool kit.  All original paperwork.   Clean title.   Tires are old but not weather checked and still have decent tread.  She is an excellent survior, but not perfect.  Look at all of the pics and judge for yourself.  I wouldn't be selling it if I didn't absolutely need to.   Great restoration project.  Thanks for looking.  Feel free to ask questions.

Japan Needs Your Help

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

A Dizzying Lap Of Imola + Video

Wed, 14 May 2014

Nilox, the action camera sponsor for World Superbike, makes it a point to film an on-board lap of each track on the calendar before each race weekend. A few weeks ago we brought you footage of Giuliano Rovelli lapping a Honda CBR1000RR SP around Assen. This week Rovelli is back, this time aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving us a rapid tour of Imola, the track made famous by the tragic passing of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna 20 years ago, and also by the legendary battle between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards in 2002 which decided the championship.
