Honda CB description

Bought this 550 from my brother-in-laws dad.  It has been garage kept.  Rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper.  Replaced the plugs, points and condensers.  Changed oil and filter.  Electronically cleaned the fuel tank.  Replaced carbs with rebuilt set; old set goes with bike.  Still needs horn; doesn't work.  Gas tank has scratches and chrome is pitted (see picture of wheels).  Mufflers need replaced soon (see picture).  Small break in fins on front left cylinder (see picture).  Runs good; would take it anywhere.  Good shape for its age.  Buy it and ride it home :-)

All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. Hit the jump to see the video and for more info on this years trek. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.
