Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
Here is a true barn find! Bike had been sitting in a shed for over 20 yrs. Odometer reading is accurate. It was in very poor condition from sitting for so long. Tank had dent and paint was faded. Engine had low compression but did turn over. Tires were rotted and brakes were seized, you get the idea. The following is a long list of what was done to bring it back to life. 1. Bike was completely disassembled. 2. Frame was blasted and painted 3. Fork seals were replaced 4. New tires 5. Chain and sprockets 6. New cables and mirrors 7. New battery 8. Rebuilt front and rear brake systems and replaced brake pads 9. Carbs completely rebuilt and air cut off valves installed 10. Replaced carb boots 11. New petcock 12. New reproduction decals and complete professional paint 13. Engine disassembled, inspected transmission, replaced piston rings and gaskets 14. Cylinder head completely rebuilt and engine assembled 15. New tune up parts installed including spark plugs, caps, filters and oil One item of note: the number 1 header pipe has a dent on the lower end but is not very noticeable. Otherwise the original exhaust is in very good condition. I test drove for 200 miles for initial break in and performed adjustments. Bike runs and drives very nice. We have been restoring bikes for a long time and stand behind what we sell. Please check our 100% positive seller feedback for bidding confidence. If you have any questions, call me at 651-492-4019. Thu, 14 Nov 2013Honda and Yamaha each offered aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which struck the Philippines earlier this month. Initial estimates put the death tool at over 10,000 but Philippine President Benigno Aquino says the actual number maybe closer to 2,500. Still, the United Nations says more than 11 million people were affected by the typhoon, with about 673,000 displaced from their homes.
OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
