Honda CB description

This project started with a 4000 original mile excellent running bike. Obviously much has been done. This is a tribute to that virginia based shop that builds awesome customs ( not sure if i'm allowed to use their name so i wont, but they build awesome bikes just way tooooo expensive for most folks...roughly $30,000).
Now a little about me. I build one bike per year just for stress relief, i pick it up in the fall , work it all winter into the spring, ride it all summer and then start all over again, i have absolutely no overhead, thats how my price is so low, i'm not looking to make a living doing this , this just allows me to build my next project, but having said that i will not take a loss either, i need to get at least my investment back and anything above that is gravy, this is a no reserve auction with the starting price set at my lowest price so if you want this bike , just bid , if you live anywhere near me feel free to come take it for a ride and check it out in person or have somebody come look it over for you... now on to the bike.
The bike now has 5000 miles on it , i have personally driven it about 1000 miles and can testify to how well it runs, the motor is stone stock reliable honda, the carbs have been cleaned and rejetted to the pods and free flowing exhaust...
The exhaust is a one off factory hindle , that is their ultra thin wall stainless that only weighs about 6 pounds, it is totally spring loaded and can come off in about 2 mins... don't ask how i got them to do it for me , i'm still paying back that favor...lololol
The rear is a very low mile 2012 ducati monster single sided swingarm off of a 1100 evo with the marchesini rim ( gorgeous).. also a houston super bike quick change hub to make rear sprocket changes quick and easy should you be so inclined... rear tire is a brand new Michelin pilot gt radial 180/55/ZR17 nice an fat
Ballistic 8 cell battery, new Rick's regulator and flywheel just to make sure the charging is spot on..
Randakk's spin on oil filter adapter to make oil changes quick and easy...
The complete front end is a low mileage 2012 triumph street triple also with a michelin pilot gt 120/70/ZR17 tire ... so awesome radial tires that handle great and this bike stops on a dime...
True carbon fiber fenders both front and rear...
Randakk new front brake pull and master rerservoir....
The seat is stock honda that has been recontoured and reshaped and covered with high end vinyl for great wear and clean up , it is so comfortable that you can ride for hours and not feel all beat up when you get off.
The rear grab bar is 1.75" marine grade stainless that will never rust or dull, with a ducati digital rear light set up..
If i have forgotten anything and i'm sure i have forgotten tons, feel free to call me as i built the bike and i ride the bike, my cell is (905-977-9436....Nick)
You can also go to Pipeburn.com... they did a nice write up on the bike (nov 4th) to learn a little bit more about both me and the bike... thanks... nick

Forgot to mention, I have a clean clear title in my name, also I will help your shipper in any way I can , but the shipping is up to you to arrange, if you live within a reasonable distance I may even deliver it , but you must do your own paperwork and the bike must be payed for before hand.....and lastly needless to say ( but I'll say it anyway) the bike is not brand new and as such is being sold without any warranty.Expressed or implied....I always get someone who asks if it comes with warranty .nvp
Also forgot to mention , this bike is not a show bike , I ride it all the time , it was at the last Friday the 13th, in port Dover, but it does show very well. Having said that ,all I think it really needs to be a strong show bike is a good polishing of the valve cover and side covers ( prob about $100-150 )
Also reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is also listed for sale locally.

Marc Marquez Crash Data Analysis From Silverstone

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

During warm-up for last weekend’s Silverstone MotoGP race, Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez crashed between turns seven and eight, losing the front while on the brakes. The fall caused the MotoGP rookie’s shoulder to pop out of its socket, and Alpinestars has released the data from Marquez’ Tech-Air-equipped suit for us to further examine. Looking at the graph below, you’ll see the impact was focused on Marquez’ left shoulder.

Best Helmet Designs from the 2009 MotoGP Season

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.

This video of the Knockhill end of season Jock Taylor meeting in 1988 makes me smile. Even although I had the dream ticket of riding for HRC in the 500cc World Championship I never stopped wanting to come back to the homeland and race my old mates. Brian Morrison started racing on the same day as myself and went on to have a successful carreer riding for Honda in the UK then later in the World Endurance Championship.
