2014 HONDA CB500X MOTORCYCLE WHITE 100171
RETAIL $6,299.00  NOW $5,150.00

THIS IS A NEW 2014 HONDA CB500X. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BUYING.

Any Honda could be called an adventure bike, but the CB500X takes the idea to extremes. This is a motorcycle ready for around-town errand-running and commuting, but it’s also just as ready for canyon carving. You can take adventure to the next level because the CB500X is equipped with an adjustable windscreen, larger fuel tank and perhaps most important, a generous amount of suspension travel—enough to take you off the pavement and onto the kind of dirt roads you might find on your travels. Ergonomically, the CB500X gives you wide handlebars and a classic upright seating position so you always feel in control.

Innovations
Adjustable Windscreen
The windscreen on the CB500X is manually adjustable up to 40mm for optimal wind protection.

Digital Instrumentation
An amber-tinted full LCD screen features digital speedometer and tachometer and more, including a clock, odometer, trip meter, real-time and average fuel consumption meters and illuminated engine diagnostic indicators.

Halogen Headlight
A single 60-watt H4 halogen headlight and multi-facet reflector on the CB500X give the front end a unique look and also project plenty of light on the road for visibility.

Unique Style
The CB500X is a lightweight, dynamic motorcycle that offers adventure style with an upright riding position. While not a dual-sport, the new CB500X still has the posture of an adventure machine with a unique fuel tank design that offers the ability to freely move the body weight.

Long-Travel Front Suspension
The long stroke 41mm front fork yields a full 5.5" of travel, and a wide handlebar allows for easy steering inputs.

Disc Brakes
The front 320mm wave-style disc brake and 240mm rear provides strong stopping power.

12-spoke Cast Wheels
Strong and stylish, the CB500X’s lightweight 12-spoke cast-aluminum wheels—120/70-17 in front and 160/60-17 rear—are easy to keep clean, look great, enhance handling and are another CB500X feature that just makes sense.

Programmed Fuel-Injection (PGM-FI)
Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) continuously monitors several variables to ensure the correct fuel mixture is delivered for the existing riding and atmospheric conditions for crisp throttle response throughout a wide variety of riding conditions.

Lower Cowl
The CB500X is equipped with a lower cowl to help protect the exhaust pipe and engine from debris when riding on rough surfaces. Air intakes are incorporated into the design to provide effective cooling.

DOHC Twin Cylinder Engine
Honda twins are famous for their versatility, and the new CB500X engine is one of our best ever. Using the same piston bore size as our CBR600RR sportbike, the parallel-twin engine offers accessible performance across all RPM ranges.

Steel-Tube Frame
A motorcycle’s frame is the basis for its handling. A new take on a classic construction, the CB500X’s diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe ties to the engine with four mounts, offering a rock-solid foundation for superior ride and handling.

Step Seat
The new CB500X’s 32-inch seat height and unrestricted riding position offer freedom of movement for usage in both touring and commuting. You’ll find that it’s perfect for around-town riding and also offers plenty of room for a passenger.

Pro-Link Rear Suspension
A sophisticated chassis with Honda Pro-Link® rear suspension, with 9-stage preload and 4.7 inches travel gives you a comfortable ride over small bumps, while capably absorbing bigger bumps to increase riding comfort and handling.

PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE DEALER DOC FEE OF $186.50. WISCONSIN RESIDENTS TAX AND REGISTRATION.

Honda Fury Special Edition Controversy?

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

It seems the idea that there is a “special edition” Honda Fury has achieved urban-legend levels. Motorcycle.com recently spoke to Jon Seidel of American Honda to clarify some of the controversy generated in www.furyforums.com regarding a special edition Fury model. According to Seidel, no mention was ever made to the media during the Fury’s press unveiling or in any press material or at any other time, “that any Fury color or specific Fury model was a special edition.” Seidel stated that he also queried Honda’s product planning department about the existence of any special edition models and reported that no information had ever been released or implied from Honda Product Planning as to the existence of a Fury SE.

Honda Developing V4 MotoGP Production Racer

Fri, 22 Jun 2012

Honda is reportedly developing a production racer based on its RC213V racebike that could be sold to teams looking to compete in MotoGP. The new racebike is expected to be of a lower-spec than the RC213V prototype but perform better than a CRT machine with a production-based engine. According to a report by racing site MotoMatters and French magazine Moto Journal, the new V4-engined production racer will be sold to race teams instead of being leased, as is the case with current satellite teams and their race prototypes.
