Honda CB description

This is an ORIGINAL 1976 HONDA CB550 four, ACTUAL MILEAGE 4,602. We have owned this motorcycle for 22 years. It only had a few miles when we got it, someone had purchased it and traded up for a bigger bike. The bike is in original condition and is in great shape. The carb. will need to be gone thru and a new battery, and filter put in. The king-queen seat came on it when we bought it along with cruise control. It has no rips and is soft and rides comfortably. My husband changed the oil,put new plugs in it and brakes too. It also has a new windshield on it we had purchased. The mufflers are rusted on the bottom and have to be replaced. One of the side covers has a crack in it and the other has one male end plug broke on the back but attaches. The bike is brown and gold. You may contact us with further questions and they will be answered honestly and quickly. I am currently disabled (arghhhh) and cannot ride. This was to be our retirement bike and we seriously want someone to appreciate it after we kept it in a controlled environment. The engine in this bike runs like a cadillac, and is powerful. Just needs a little love and tuned up.Buyer will be responsible for pick up. $ 500.00 due with-in 24 hours and balance due within 7 days of the sale. This bike is up for sale locally and will end e-bay sale if purchased.

Honda NC700S and NC700X Coming to Canada – US Availability Still Uncertain

Wed, 23 Nov 2011

American Honda has not included the recently revealed NC700S and NC700X models in its 2012 list of offerings, but it looks like the two motorcycles will be available in Canada. Honda Canada has not made an official announcement but a dealership in Kelowna, B.C., has published a press release that appears to have come directly from Honda Canada saying the two models will be available in Canada in the summer of 2012. (EDIT: Honda Canada has confirmed the NC700 models will be at the Toronto Motorcycle Show Dec.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda VFR800F

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Gracing the new 2014 VFR800F is traction control, ABS, heated grips, adjustable seat height and self-canceling blinkers. The V-Four-powered machine has been re-tuned  for greater low and mid-range torque, and also receives a new telescopic fork, Pro-arm swingarm, wheels, new, slimmer bodywork and styling. Starting with the 782cc V4-VTEC engine, Honda engineers focused mainly on cam timing and valve duration/overlap to increase low-to midrange power and torque, claiming 104.5 hp @ 10,250 rpm and 55.4 ft-lbs of torque @ 8,500 rpm. Bore and stroke is 72mm x 48mm, with compression ratio of 11.8:1. VTEC valve timing still operates one pair of inlet/exhaust valves per cylinder at low rpm, and then switches to four as revs rise. Honda’s single-mode Traction Control System (TCS) is fitted as standard equipment and is operated from the left handlebar.
