Honda CB description

I have a CB450 Black Bomber with the very rare Scrambler exhaust up for bid . This bike kicks over with great compression . The previous owner told me that her late husband had the bike running aprox. 2 years ago . The gas tank is clean and has been sealed . The rare exhaust has no holes that I have found but does have pitting and some surface rust on the chrome . The seat looks to have been cut down but the pan is in good shape , it actually looks nice and has no tears and looks retro. It has the wrong left hand handle bar switch and is missing the air boxes and side covers , The VIN shows the bike to be a 1966 but the title says its a 1969 . Honda was terrible about having left over new bikes and giving you a title for the year it was sold . They now have to have the Mfg. dates on the bike. Makes Sense !!!  This bike could have been one of the rare Scrambler conversions they had back in 1966 , i'm not sure about that, but I know the exhaust is from the Scrambler conversion . It also has alum. rims, but has the original front and rear hubs and brakes !!  What's up with that ? It would make a great bike restored but the wife says I have too many project bikes and this one has to go . I have had many newer 450 Hondas but never one this cool ! My loss your gain . I WILL NOT SHIP THIS BIKE , but will assist the shipper . Please email if you have any more questions .

Honda Fury Special Edition Controversy?

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

It seems the idea that there is a “special edition” Honda Fury has achieved urban-legend levels. Motorcycle.com recently spoke to Jon Seidel of American Honda to clarify some of the controversy generated in www.furyforums.com regarding a special edition Fury model. According to Seidel, no mention was ever made to the media during the Fury’s press unveiling or in any press material or at any other time, “that any Fury color or specific Fury model was a special edition.” Seidel stated that he also queried Honda’s product planning department about the existence of any special edition models and reported that no information had ever been released or implied from Honda Product Planning as to the existence of a Fury SE.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

Another Cruiser?

Sun, 09 Nov 2008

In a county gone mad with cruisers, from outrageous T.V. customs to 250cc Honda Rebels, the cruiser is the largest segment of the American motorcycle market. Interesting then, that despite a seeming glut in the cruiser supply, and receding sales figures from major OEMs in the past year, that new cruiser models keep coming.
