2013 HONDA CBR1000RR REPSOL EDITION. This is a very gently used bike with a very low 1,556 miles. It has just completed break in and received an oil change (fully synthetic) with new filter. The bike is super clean in "like new" condition. It has been meticulously maintained and stored indoors its whole life...never seen rain. It has a 998cc engine with a 6 speed transmission and the SHOWA big piston forks. Tires, rotors and brake pads are all in "like new" condition. The bike is super reliable, very powerful and comfortable to ride...everything you wish for in a superbike! The bike comes with a clean/clear New York State Title...no lien holders, Honda issued owners manual and two factory Honda keys.
The bike is located in Queens, New York...I can show the bike prior to bidding. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer...I will work to assist the buyer if drop off is necessary to a shipper within 75 miles of Queens, New York,11358. Crating the bike is possible for a small fee based on material necessary to build crate. The motorcycle will not be released to buyer until complete payment has cleared...a $500 deposit is required 48 hours after auction is won...complete payment is required within 7 days. Honda to Produce MotoGP-Derived V4 Superbike
Fri, 21 Sep 2012Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito announced plans to produce a new super sports bike derived from its RC213V MotoGP race bike. A V4 Honda sportsbike has long been rumored to be in development but it finally appears the project is getting the green light. Speaking about Honda’s plans for the next five years, Ito confirmed the sportbike is on its way, using technology from the company’s successful MotoGP program.
FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
