2013 European Junior Cup to Use All-New Honda Sportbike

Honda announced it is replacing KTM as the spec-bike supplier for the 2013 European Junior Cup. The youth racing series will use an all-new Honda sportbike to be revealed at the 2012 EICMA show in November, expected to be the CBR500 captured in spy photos. The European Junior Cup is for young racers ages 14-19 and runs at select rounds of the World Superbike Championship.

2013 European Junior Cup to Use Honda CBR500R

As expected, Honda announced its new CBR500R sportbike will be featured in the 2013 European Junior Cup, a single-spec racing series that competes at European rounds of the World Superbike Championship. We saw this coming when Honda announced it would supply an all new sportbike for the European Junior Cup, but the news wasn’t official until after Honda unveiled the CBR500R alongside its siblings the CB500F and CB500X at the 2012 EICMA Show. More Than $5 Million Available From 2014 Honda Red Riders Rewards

The continuation of Honda’s Red Riders Rewards program for 2014 means more than $5 million in earnings will be available to racers. Honda owners have the opportunity to earn payouts at more than 1500 races in 2014 motocross, off-road, dirt track, ATV and road racing contests throughout the country. Honda’s press release was awfully thin with details for road racers, instead focusing on a restructure of the off-road series payouts and the different ways competitors can hope to win money in.
