1979 Honda CBX for sale.
Complete TIMS restoration winter 2011 / spring 2012. Bike was last ridden summer of 2014. Only 84 miles since restoration. Bike includes crash bars, extra seat and backrest (Corbin), owners manual, and sales brochure. Bike will need battery. Tank should probably be cleaned and sealed and gauges resurfaced (decals are bubbling up). Bike is sold as is, where is. Buyer responsible for shipping. Reviewer Costa Mouzouris gave us a look at the naked CB1000R that Honda Canada is considering importing, the already-available half-faired CBF1000, and the entry-level CBR125R. Meanwhile, Honda’s competitors have also announced some new products for Canada that have yet to be made available in the U.S.
Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
