Honda CRF description

2012 Honda CRF 150R, R MODEL!There's nothing small about the size of its performance.

Honda s CRF150R is, hands down, the best MX machine in the Mini Class. Designed around a four-stroke powerplant that showcases plenty of Honda technology, we ve given it some major-league upgrades for 2012, and graced it with the performance that will keep you up at the front of the pack and on the podium.

First, a new cylinder head, new cam, and new piston help this CRF150R run more consistently at different tracks, different elevations and different temperatures. An improved "direct push" accelerator pump gives you better, more immediate throttle response. New suspension valving returns improve action on small bumps but keeps the 150 s excellent large-bump performance.

The CRF150R. For aspiring racers it s just what every motocrosser wants. A great start. And one that just about ensures great finishes.

New kit: Davida Jet helmet

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The Davida Jet helmet is a quality piece of kit, made here in dear Old Blighty. I got my hands on one just a few days before I went on the CB1100 launch last week and I thought it suited Honda's big retro perfectly. The lining and finish is superb, with high gloss paint and a padded/quilted leather interior.

Asia-Only Honda VTR250 Gets Half-Faired Variant for 2013

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

Honda‘s CBR250R has done fairly well for itself since its introduction in 2011, helping to revitalize the entry-level segment of the market in the U.S. What some people may not realize is Honda has been producing a 250cc-class called the VTR250. Available in its current form since 1997, the Honda VTR250 is a naked standard with a Ducati Monster-esque trellis frame offered in the Asia-Pacific region.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda VFR800F

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Gracing the new 2014 VFR800F is traction control, ABS, heated grips, adjustable seat height and self-canceling blinkers. The V-Four-powered machine has been re-tuned  for greater low and mid-range torque, and also receives a new telescopic fork, Pro-arm swingarm, wheels, new, slimmer bodywork and styling. Starting with the 782cc V4-VTEC engine, Honda engineers focused mainly on cam timing and valve duration/overlap to increase low-to midrange power and torque, claiming 104.5 hp @ 10,250 rpm and 55.4 ft-lbs of torque @ 8,500 rpm. Bore and stroke is 72mm x 48mm, with compression ratio of 11.8:1. VTEC valve timing still operates one pair of inlet/exhaust valves per cylinder at low rpm, and then switches to four as revs rise. Honda’s single-mode Traction Control System (TCS) is fitted as standard equipment and is operated from the left handlebar.
