Honda CRF description

2014 Honda CRF230F, Brand new 2014 Honda CRF230F. In Stock - More and more, riders are recognizing that highly specialized competition models, while perfect in the heat of battle, have some limitations in everyday trail riding. They’ve also realized that in tight, single-track trails, agility and predictability are often more important than outright power or ultimate suspension travel. The CRF230F’s combination of light weight, reasonable seat height, short wheelbase and tractable power delivery are hard to beat in the woods, no matter who you’re up against. Add the convenience of electric start and a maintenance schedule measured in months instead of hours and you’ll be the envy of your riding group. CRF230F - agile and predictable.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

No snow here folks!

Fri, 31 Dec 2010

An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy.  I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.

New MotoGP Rules for ECU and Factory Status for 2014

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.
